Biography - Born and raised in Connellsville, Jeffrey

graduated from high school there in 1973.  He then attended the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh and graduated in 1975.

With his background in interior design, Jeffrey worked as a visual merchandising coordinator for approximately 10 years.  While working for Lerner's, Jeffrey was responsible for the window displays in 4 stores.  As an associate with a major Pittsburgh display house, he did window displays for Hughes & Hatcher, Max Azen's Furs and many independent retailers.  In addition, he created holiday displays at the Gulf Building and other business locations in downtown Pittsburgh.  Moving back to Connellsville in the late 1980's, he decided to go into floral design and entered the Pittsburgh Floral Academy, also completing a Master Wedding Course.  He then worked at Cropp's Floral in Connellsville, which was purchased by Johnston the Florist, eventually becoming manager of their Charleroi store.  Jeffrey also designed the interior and merchandise displays for the Blue Shutter House of Antiques & Collectibles.

11 years ago, Jeffrey opened his own shop, In Bloom Floral on Main Street in Mount Pleasant.  In Bloom specializes in creating each floral design to the needs and taste of the customer.  We offer fresh, dried and permanent (silk) arrangements, wreaths and swags.  We create sympathy floral arrangements, flowers for weddings, proms, dances, holidays, recitals, special occasions of all kinds and those to enhance your living and working spaces.

In Bloom has also provided the floral decorations for many churches in our area.  We have also provided special theme arrangements, an example being the sympathy flowers that were created in memory of Harry Overly, founder of Overly's Country Christmas, which incorporated small white lights into the design.  In Bloom will also match your floral arrangements to your decor, completing the colors and patterns in your home or office.  Jeffrey's art education and design experience uniquely qualify him to provide floral designs of superior quality and beauty.

Mr. Ehrlich is also available to do presentations on floral preparation and arranging, including theme and holiday demonstrations.

In Bloom Floral is open Monday through Saturday, with extended holiday hours, and our phone answers 24 hours a day.  We are happy to provide reminders, by phone call or post card, to help you remember the special people and times of your life.
